vSphere 6.0 FT protected VM - backup via VADP - HOW?

Hi,

the FT docs of vsphere 6.0 ft says you still can´t use any snapshots when using FT. But it also says, FT-protected VMs can now be backupped using VADP.

Now the question: How is this possible? Are "silent" snapshots allowed for VADP only? Or was VADP given somehow a special new method to backup the ft-protected VM?
